Well, this series is just great! I love Bruce and I love the funny wisecracks that he gives, most of all I love the way the author is developing the characters and the action. His team is a great mix and having read the 1st book and now this one, they are all developing nicely and the action is fresh with new bad guys/galsBruce seems to be the epitome of the master ninja, a combination of Bruce Lee and Kwai Chang Kane but with the quick quips of a wisecracking Bogart, i just love him
For those that like action, the action is great with the author doing a brilliant job of combining knives, arrows, magic spells, gun and supernatural characters. I am sure the author will be giving us more and maybe even looking into the past of the Black Dragon (BD), Bruce's nickname.
This author is witty, creative and has a sharp sense of humor, you will love finding out about the Reds (lol) and where they come from....

I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series. This book fleshes out the characters quite a bit and the story has a lot more depth. I will continue to recommend this series to people I know if for no other reason than they are just great fun. I mean come on, who doesn't like to see ninjas fighting werewolves? So add this author to your own list of favorites.
So, I bought this in April, 2013. I have been waiting impatiently. WHERE IS BOOK 3? Surely you would not leave us hanging there with the obvious complications coming and no resolution, would you? I thoroughly enjoyed the books and the characters are great, even the odd ones. (everyone) So much potential so I hope you don't waste it.
Just finished reading Shifters, and I have to say it's great from cover to cover. We get more insight into the mind of the Ninja with a mouth, and he's quite human. The action reminded me of a cross between Underworld and a Bruce Lee movie, so strap in tight!
It's also pretty clear this is not a nice world - evident when the main plot becomes apparent. Looking forward to the next one!
The G.H.O.S.T. Teams are back, and the sequel digs deeper into the characters, the world, and the ongoing story. The first book in the series was a thrill-ride adventure filled with action and humor. This book is all that AND an exploration of the inner workings of series' protagonist, Bruce.
We're still in his head in this book, but now his head is crowded with more than just combat maneuvers and flirting with the nearest woman. Now he's dealing with a dark, haunting past. And, without spoiling anything, his relationship with one of his team members actually evolves into something you care about. The merciless, womanizing assassin has a soft side. Who knew?
This entry in the series also adds a whole new dimension to the world around the characters. It's still modern-day DC, and it still feels like you're driving around all the familiar landmarks. But you're simultaneously transported to a world just out of sight. I loved what we found under the old `Skins stadium.
Overall a great read. This book absolutely promises another one on the horizon, and I can only see them getting better and better...
When I read the first novel, i was a bit put off by the narcissistic portrayal of the main character and how he was some kind of one man army of ninjaness. But as i read the book and got into the story, i realized why BD was the way he was. It fits. All in all, this second installment is even better than the first. Sometimes we need a book with a main character that's just a tad bit over the top in the hero department.
Overall, I found it a highly enjoyable read.
This book was a very good action filled read that was worth my time and money. This book received four stars from me because it had a lot of things that appeal to me, an avid SCI-FI junkie. I feel that folks who like Nijas, fantasy, werewolves, elves and dragons would also find this story by Bobby Brimmer enjoyable. Yeah who would of thought that a Ninja driving a car encasing the spirit of a dragon while kicking werewolf butt with his elfin brother and foxy girlfriend would work? It's a great story and I look forward to book three in the series and am happy to say I will purchase it as soon as it's out.
Big fan of this series and hated having to wait what felt like forever for the next book to come out. Finally going to get to read book 3. Hope I don't have to wait several more years for book 4 now because this is an awesome series.
