Gregory Bronson learns he’ll soon be moving away from his neighbor and best friend, Alison Levin. When he tells her the shocking news, she feels her world is being turned upside down. What would she do without Greg? What would Greg do without her?
Fast forward fifteen years. Ali is engaged to Sean Whitman who can provide her with anything she could ever want. While vacationing, however, she runs into Greg. Suddenly she’s not so sure Sean is the one.
Greg finds himself just getting out of a bad relationship when he and Ali reunite. He can’t help but be attracted to her and wonder if the two of them could ever stand a chance.
As the two of them rebuild their friendship, the foundation for something more is set until one day they finally give in to their desires. But after they are interrupted with an emergency, Ali realizes she must make a choice. Will she choose her fiancé, Sean, and go through with a wedding that is already planned and paid for? Or will she give it all up for her friend, Greg, who could give her the one thing Sean doesn’t all of himself?
*Author Note*
Long Lost Neighbors is the third in the Neighbors series, however, it is a completely standalone novel. Although the first six chapters take place when the main characters are young, don’t be fooled. The majority of this novel takes place as adults with a lot of attraction and a lot of internal struggle with tough life situations mixed in. This clean romance read is perfect for anyone who dares to explore what it might look like for childhood friends to be reunited much later in life.

Long Lost Neighbors tries to set up a "reunion" drama by going all the way back to the couple's childhood, only to see them separated and turned into a triangle. I just didn't feel much with this story.Greg and Alison were best friends and neighbors, but Alison's family looked down on Greg and his family. When Greg's family had to move to a different town (only 30 minutes away), they vowed to keep write each other, but Alison's mother confiscated all correspondence and forcibly kept them apart. Eventually, they lost touch. Fifteen years later, Alison is engaged to Sean, who is sweet, but has no sense of work-life balance... Even while on a date he answers the phone, and brings work on a lake vacation with Alison. Then Alison ran into Greg in the vacation town, and they rekindled their friendship. Alison started to have doubts about Sean being the one... but the wedding was all planned, even as Greg revealed the depth of his feelings for her... just when tragedy struck Alison's family.... What path will Alison choose?
The ending is pretty much pre-ordained, but how it got there was so slow as to be excruciating. It seems to be just so... petty for the mother to do that.

Long Lost Neighbors edition by Frances Hoelsema Alyssa Kroll Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
A well written story about love and friendship. Sometimes a story doesn't need anything else. Very enjoyable. I spent my reading time rooting for the right ending.
I loved the story line where true love wins. There were a couple of areas where I wish there was more of the story filled in and a couple of spots the jumped around.
Finding your one true love is always good. I will definitely read other books by this author.
This was a very seeet clean teas. There was a bit of head hopping between characters but it was easy enough to follow. Of course we knew who she’d end to with but not exactly how! Fun read
While the story it's self was enjoyable, the grammatical errors were way out of control ! Had I been reading a hard copy of this book, it would be well marked by my red pen! There is no excuse for so, so many errors.
A good book but I felt Alison was immature and disliked the fact that she made excuses for the reasons she met Greg while being engaged to Sean. She didn’t admit to herself that she was being unfaithful to her fiancé when she regularly net and kissed Greg.
Appreciate reading a love story that does not have graphic content, something I dare to read out loud to my granddaughter, and when she's a little older she can read it for herself.
The writing was so-so, but good enough to keep me reading. There was too much telling rather than showing. I didn't much like Sean, but then we aren't supposed to like him. Alison wasn't much better. Red flags all over the place that she and Sean are not a match. They don't want or value tha same things. Yet she just keeps blindly overlooking things and continuing on.
She meets up with her long lost friend and former neighbor, Greg, and is ecstatic. She starts to develop romantic feelings for Greg, yet she ignores it and continues to spend time alone with him. She lives to herself, and to Sean about her feelings for Greg. SPOILER ALERT
She eventually cheats with Greg (kissing/making out). She isn't sorry that she did it, and she never addresses the cheating with Sean, nor does she even admit to herself that she cheated. Rather she gets angry with Sean because he doesn't want her spending time with Greg anymore. She decides to continue her engagement with Sean, and just "distance" herself from Greg. She doesn't tell Sean she cheated. She plans to continue her friendship with Greg. She doesn't acknowledge that she did anything wrong either to herself or Sean.
END SPOILER At this point, about 82% through the book, chapter 29 I think, I quit reading. Alison had zero remorse for what she did, and took zero responsiblity for her behavior. I have no further interest in continuing to read this book.
